The pose for this drawing came from when Duchess glared at Thomas O'Malley for making sarcastic remarks towards the geese sisters, the Gavels. This is probably the only time Duchess shows an angry face in the entire film. The image I based my drawing on came from one of almost 300 screenshots I captured from the film. With the lack of Aristocats resourced on the web I had to create my own to keep drawing. I thought Duchess's facial expression was just hilarious here so it became the first of my new screenshot collection for me to draw.
This drawing was originally done with a .05mm mechanical pencil with 2HB and 5H leads on Strathmore 80lb. drawing paper. I darkened the pencil work on the computer with Paint Shop Pro 3, and then colored the print-out with colored pencils. The lettering was added in on the computer with Paint Shop Pro 7.
